Kung Hei Fat Choy 恭喜發財! You've probably been hearing this Chinese greeting left, right and centre as this week marked the beginning of the lunar new year. It's a tradition to greet family and friends with this phrase, meaning "may prosperity be with you."
Chinese New Year, also known as Spring festival is considered one of the most important celebrations in China. The first day of the lunar new year is based on the Chinese lunar calender, and this year, it falls on January 23, 2012.
