News came out yesterday about the long awaited and highly anticipated tablet from Google.  The tablet dubbed "Nexus 7" is getting a lot of people excited. A lot of people are expecting big things since the mega company Google paired up with the computer and tablet manufacturer Asus.

A few details were made public with regards to the specs.  Starting with the most important factor of all, which is price.  Although it hasn't been confirmed, the starting price is expected to be set at $199.  That is a huge boost for the company as it tries to compete with the powerful and popular iPad that retails for more than double that.

It is also expected that the anticipated Tablet will come with a 7 inch screen, a 1280-pixel-by-768-pixel resolution. The processor is rumoured to be the powerful quad-core NVidia Tegra 3 and will running an NVidia ULP GeForce graphics unit.

As for the operating system, the Nexus 7 will be running Google’s latest Android tablet OS, Android 4.1 JRN51B or “Jelly Bean.”

Even though the official word from Google is expected in the next few days, the news means that Google is right on track for their date of release, which was expected in the summer of 2012.

Until next time,
Greg
