Get a 3D Copy of Yourself!
In a copy of the Metro newspaper, a journalist was lucky enough to
book an appointment with a London; England based company to use their 3D
printer services. What he printed out
was a replica of him.
I think this is amazing. The overall process doesn’t seem too hard to
do and the time it takes from start to finish isn’t much to talk about from the
user’s perspective. Multiple images can
be taken of you in less than 15 minutes and the overall timeline for you to receive
your 3D twin is around 14 days. They also promise a rush job can be
accomplished on a much shorter time span.
It’s a pricey thing to do, but looking at the pricing options, it’s
also not that unaffordable. The company that
does all of this is Levavo and their service I’m talking about is called “my3Dtwin”.

In a few simple steps that include scanning,
processing the data and sending the file to the 3D printer, a copy of yourself
can be made in less than two hours.
The
collecting of data is based on photogrammetry. This means it only take a split
second to gather the data. The only difference compared with taking an ordinary
photograph is that there is more than one camera.
Once
they got the images and files, they’ll start what they call a very “complex
procedure” to build a 3D twin of you.
And
finally, your 3D twin is created with their 3D printer. The amazing printer features the latest in full
colour 3D printing technology with detailed shapes, accurate measurements and
very lifelike colours. Customers have three different pricing options based on different output sizes of your 3D twin.

The
options at this point are going to be endless; in the future we’ll be able to make an
action figure of ourselves, friends and family.

Amazing .. Make your own Mini You. Too bad the scanning procedure has to be done by booking an appointment with Levavo Studio’s in London England then PESTO “my3Dtwin” or YOU as the action figure! They are made with such detail & all the proper colours right out of the 3D printer, done in a amazing 14 day turnaround time WOW!

The 3D scanning process is like the express lane, saving the time & error of computer coding for 3D printing use
3D scanning & printing are looking pretty excitingly fantastic. Won’t be too long the price will be lower & the service will be available over here, then shrinking versions of YOU all over – mass production bebe ..lol
