It’s that time of the year again. The always-popular annual Design-a-Bookmark contest for children is back.

How does the contest work?

  1. Pick up an entry form from your local library branch or bookmobile and create a design for a bookmark. Entry forms can also be downloaded on KidsSpace. Remember, copies must be double-sided.
  2. Drop off the completed entry form to your local library branch or bookmobile.
  3. Branch staff will choose one winner from each of the three age groups: up to 6 years, 7 to 9 years and 10 to 13 years. Local Branch and bookmobile winners will receive a prize book.
  4. From all the final branch and bookmobile finalists, a committee selects 16 grand prize award winners.
  5. At a special award celebration in the spring, winners receive a book prize and 100 copies of their bookmark. The bookmarks are then made available in all the branches.
