Happy Small Business Month! Our gift to you – an Entrepreneur in Residence
Did you know that October is Small Business Month? Well, it is and as usual the library has many things to offer! This year we're having our first ever Entrepreneur in Residence, Miriam Tuerk. She is a serial entrepreneur and Co-Founder of Clear Blue Technologies ,has more than 20 years experience as a business visionary and product innovator, currently is an advisor to venture and private equity firms with the Mars Discovery District and a number of early stage companies.
Tonight at North York Central Library – we'll be able to meet her for the first time at her program:

Managing a small business can be a daunting task. Entrepreneurs have great ideas and plans, but they sometimes lack the proper management skills for day-to-day activities.
You’re absolutely right, when you’re an entrepreneur you have to posess a lot of skills, like a jack or jill of all trades. Management is a definitely a key skill.
