Learn how to be the ‘boss’ at home with paren'ting expert Kathy Buckworth
Is it just me or did the summer
fly by? I can hardly believe that school
starts tomorrow! In the spirit of the
season, North York Central Library is hosting some ‘back to school’ programs especially
for paren'ts. These programs aim to help
paren'ts hone their paren'ting skills, get some helpful advice and tips and
hopefully laugh as they learn. Although
the programs are geared to paren'ts of young, school aged children; paren'ts of
all ages are welcome to attend.
On
Tuesday September 17th at
7pm, Kathy Buckworth, award winning author, columnist and CityLine paren'ting
expert, shares her expertise and her new book I Am So The Boss Of You: an 8
step guide to giving your family the “business.” This book and program will help
paren'ts to take back control in this humourous and practical guide by using
corporate principles and making them work on the home front. From the boardroom
to the family room, real tips and a lot of fun.
In
anticipation of the program have a look at Kathy’s books, all of which are available through the Toronto Public Library.
Visit
her website for more information
about all that she is up to and her latest news.
Seating
is limited for the program, doors will open at 6:30pm and it is first come, first
entry. For more information call the
Society and Recreation department at 416-395-5660.
And
don’t forget to mark the second
program of the series in your calendar, when we will be hosting Maureen Dennis, President
and Founder of WeeWelcome.com and paren'ting expert for the Marilyn Dennis Show, on
Tuesday October 8th, as she shares survival tips and strategies to
get paren'ts and students successfully through the new school year.
See
you at the programs!

Looking at the event page on the library’s site, http://www.torontopubliclibrary.ca/detail.jsp?Entt=RDMEVT138826&R=EVT138826 , the title of the event says “CANCELLED”. Any details if this has been rescheduled to a different time?
Hi Chris
There are no plans as of yet to reschedule. We will keep you posted through the website if and when we are able to schedule a new talk.
Thanks for your interest; we were all disappointed when the event got cancelled.
