 Toronto Reference Library’s Playwright-in-Residence, David Young begins his two-month residency next week with an outstanding, free, public programs

Every oak tree starts out as an acorn. David talks about the way writers collect and use their raw materials, followed by an open discussion – bring those acorns!

Guests Panelists:  Gil Adamson, Author and Bruce McDonald, Film & Television Director

Gil Adamson is a Toronto author and poet whose first novel, The Outlander, has been optioned for the screen. 

Bruce McDonald is a Canadian film and television director with a long list of credits to his name including Hard Core Logo  and Highway 61.

David Young is an award winning Toronto-based writer and educator. He is the author of seven plays, two novels and a long list of film, radio and television credits. David’s plays have been produced at The Stratford Festival, Tarragon Theatre, The National Arts Centre, Neptune Theatre, have toured across Canada and been staged internationally.
