New Year, New You: Yoga at the Library

January 8, 2011 | Margaret | Comments (0)

Welcome to the start of another wonderful new year!  This is a perfect time to relax, renew and reflect and make some lifestyle changes for the year ahead.  We all live busy and hectic lives, juggling work, family and school, but it is important to learn how to relieve your everyday stress and anxiety.

Starting on January 10th, Agincourt Branch will offer a series of Yoga & Meditation workshops, featuring instructors from Meditation Toronto.  These experts will guide you through simple yoga and meditation exercises that will help you restore your sense of well being and calm.  If possible, bring a Yoga mat to the session, but if you don't have one, a towel or small blanket will do.  Wear loose clothing and remember, don't eat a large meal just before the session!

The Yoga sessions will run every month, starting Jan. 10th at 6:45-7:45 in our meeting room.  Other sessions will be held on February 7th, March 7th, and April 11th 6:45-7:45.  To register or find out more information, call 416-396-8951.

The Library also offers a number of books and dvds on Yoga and meditation, such as these:

Don't forget to check out Meditation Toronto's Website for more information on Yoga, Meditation and free classes in the Toronto area.

Namaste.
