Gravity — From Falling Apples to Ripples in Space-time
Everyone experiences the force of gravity. It keeps us from flying into space and keeps the planets in orbit around the sun.
Monday, January 21 from 6:30-8:00 pm, join Ilana MacDonald (Dept. of Astronomy & Astrophsyics, UofT) as she traces the concept of gravity from humanity's earliest theories to her own fascinating research on the ripples in space-time caused by inspiralling binary black holes.
