Reading classics at the beach while catching up on latest celebrity news
Now that you have finished school, I am sure that some of you are adding to your "TO DO" list the unwanted, but "Must Do" job of reading classic novels required for your
upcoming school year. Before you get distracted by the more "urgent" stuff you have on your list, give this "got to do it but definitely not now" task a second chance. If you go to TPL Downloads and eBooks
you'll discover that reading classics may turn out to be as light as a summer breeze. If you go to TumbleBookCloud for example, you can read your chosen book from anywhere you have access to your cloud or to the internet. Once you are in TumbleBook Cloud, check the Common Core Portal icon and search for your book. You would be amazed to find such hidden gems like a video of A Doll's House , or 3 one minute tutorials on themes of George Orwell's Animal Farm. If you can't find your novel in TumbleBookCloud, try OneClickDigital. It has a very good e-audio collection of classic titles that you can listen to…or better yet, download them on your Iphone or Android mobiles. Below is a snapshot of the kind of books you can find in OneClickDigital.
If you absolutely dread the idea of reading a Shakespeare play, try watching his plays first from the Discovering Collection database. To access that resource, just save your library card number on your mobile, use it to log-in to the database from any place with internet connection, and search for the play and then click on the multimedia tab to watch it.
When you need a break from all this serious classic reading, check our latest e-collection……the Zinio e-Magazines which gives you free access to recent issues of most popular magazines, and once you register with your library card, you can download the Zinio app for your mobile and start browsing the magazine instantly. Here are some of the magazines in the "Entertainment" section of Zinio.
Happy Summer Reading
