Happy New Year!

As 2010 winds down, we are all reflecting on what a busy year we had at Agincourt Branch!  We had programs for all ages, from babies to seniors, teens to adults.  Whether instructional, informative or just plain fun, there was something for everyone at Agincourt Branch: yoga, dancing, arts and crafts, book clubs, volunteering, health and wellness, finance, movies and more.

Some of our 2010 highlights included:

Chinese New Year Celebrations in February featuring food, prizes and a tai chi demonstration.

There were children's and teens puppet shows, crafts, movies, and dance during March Break, Keep Toronto Reading events in April and Toronto Public Library's own Dewey made an appearance at our Customer Appreciation Day in June.

Another fun filled Summer Reading Club was had by everyone, along with a fabulous Word Out! Teen Summer Reading program for youth.  We had our first ever Volunteer Fair in October to connect library customers with opportunities to help the community.

There was a scary Haunted House for families at Halloween, and a Senior's Open House in November to showcase our many books and services for seniors, featuring refreshments, booktalks, and a booksale!

Let's not forget about our wonderful Children's Ready for Reading programs, Volunteer programs like Leading to Reading and the Youth Advisory Group, and our popular Computer Classes for adults.

Thank-you for making 2010 such a great success, we couldn't have done it without such a great community!  Here's to making 2011 just as successful.  See you next year!
