In the new year, Albert Campbell branch will continue to screen monthly movies as part of our Classic Movies for Older Adults series. Here are some of the more notable and quotable lines from the movies we will be showing on January 18, February 15 and March 20. Can you guess which movies we will be screening?

O:  Don't point that finger at me unless you intend to use it

F:  In other words, you're throwin' me out
O:  Not in other words. Those are the perfect ones!

—–

P: I hate this nightgown. I hate all my nightgowns, and I hate all my underwear too

—–

L: How's your leg?
J: Hurts a little
L:  Your stomach?
J:  Empty as a football
L: And your love life?
J:  Not too active
L: Anything else bothering you?
J: Uh-huh, who are you?

S: When two people love each other, they come together – WHAM – like two taxis on Broadway

  1. Love these quotes! Some of my favorite quotes include
    “Sticky little mothers, Ain’t they”
    “Now, it’s garbage”
“I’m shocked! shocked! to discover that gambling is going on in this establishment”
“How am I gonna find out what I gotta find out if you don’t let him find out what I gotta find out?”
Now, match them with the film
    American Graffiti
    Duck Soup
    Casablanca
    The Odd Couple.
I would have included “Mrs. Robinson! You’re trying to seduce me!” but that was just too obvious!
