Music Scores + Auditions = Rock of Ages Musical

The Toronto Star published an article by Richard Ouzounian yesterday on the upcoming musical Rock of Ages (April 6, 2010 Section E p1,5).

Did you know that many performers who auditioned for Rock of Ages used the extensive collection of scores, CDs and monologues at the Performing Arts Department of the Toronto Reference Library?

Did you also know there are music scores you can photocopy or borrow from the Performing Arts Department?

We first noticed an influx of Cindy Lauper big hair and 80s style mullets asking for rock music songs and scores around audition time and we had lots for both singers and musicians interested in rock guitar.

Scores such as:

The Eighties - 80 years of popular music    80s and 90s rock     Essential songs of the 1980s

There was also a big interest in scores of 70s era music:

Disco lives    Great songs of the seventies

The 70s essential songs   Love songs of the seventies

And specific scores for  women rockers and bands:

Heart    Pat benatar

And scores for  rockers of all types, bands and guitar players:

Guitar hero III Rock guitar songs CI. jpg  The best classic rock songs ever Led Zeppelin   One hit wonders of the 70s and 80s Rush guitar tabs

  1. Most of us who think of attending Rock Of Ages performances, we’re faced with the lack of tickets or the sky-rocked prices. Lately, I was recommended ticketsinventory.com to compare and purchase tickets and found it interesting. You may want to check.
