Shaw Festival Costumes
The Shaw Festival is celebrating it's 50th Anniversary this year. To help celebrate, the Toronto Reference Library is hosting a display of five costumes from the Festival's last decade. Find them on the 2nd floor of the library, by the Main Reference desk, until the end of February.
I've taken pictures of some details to tempt you to come and see the costumes for yourself.
Designed by William Schmuck for actor Mary Haney in 2000's production of A Woman of No Importance.
Designed by Michael Gianfrancesco for actor Claire Jullien in 2009's production of In Good King Charles's Golden Days.
Designed by Christina Poddubiuk for actor Lisa Norton in 2003's production of Widower's Houses.
Designed by Cameron Porteus for 2005's production of Journey's End

Haunted by an unforgettable scene, or actor, or stage design from one of the Shaw Festival's productions over the last five decades but can't remember the name of the artist?
The Performing Arts Centre on the Toronto Reference Library's 5th floor has a collection of performance programs and other printed matter, going back to the origins of the festival in the 1960s. Staff will help you find information in these that you won't easily find elsewhere.
