Guided Meditation eAudiobooks: Serenity Now, If At All Possible
What is up with 2017?
The best theory I've heard is that David Bowie was the glue holding the universe together, and that his death in 2016 plunged us into a darker timeline. There are those who would argue, rather, that it was Prince's death that was responsible for the current global state of affairs, or Leonard Cohen's – or Leonard Nimoy's, for that matter. Some even trace the current quagmire all the way back to 2012, when the Mayan calendar ended. All plausible theories*.
Regardless of the cause, for some of us, 2017 has been a lousy year, following on another lousy year; from Brexit to Weinstein, public affairs have been by turns puzzling, alarming, dispiriting and (just lately) kind of revolting.
And now, for many of us, the holidays are upon us. So… I'm just going to leave these mindfulness meditation eaudiobooks here:
Mindfulness champion Kabat-Zinn, author of Coming To Our Senses (ebook) and Wherever You Go, There You Are (eaudiobook), reads three volumes of guided meditations aloud.
Also available as Audiobook CDs
Yoga instructor Sue Fuller guides the listener in five meditation exercises in a crisp, pleasant Australian accent.
Several carefully structured meditations of different lengths introduce you to daily mindfulness practice. And for listeners of a certain vintage, Santorelli's slight vocal resemblance to the Carvel Ice Cream Cake voiceover guy will be a delightful bonus.
This book collects all of the meditation practices devised by peace activist, poet and global spiritual leader Thich Nhat Hanh.

How are you keeping it together in December, 2017? Let us know in the comments!
*(Just kidding. There are many more plausible theories about how this state of affairs came about. But that's another post.)
