Most of us will never visit Nepal, nor climb Mount Everest nor any of the Himalaya mountains.

Fortunately, Chris Beall has been there many times and is willing to share his experiences with us.

Chris is a freelance professional photographer, writer, lecturer and Himalayan mountain guide who spends several months of every year in  that part of the world.   Then he shares the slides (photos) and stories with all of us here.  He will provide us an in-depth look at the various mountain regions, the different ethnic groups and their cultures, traditions, religions and festivals, the wildlife of these areas, and a little bit of the history of climbing in the Himalaya.

So please join us to see what trekking in the Nepal Himalaya is all about.  No Sherpa needed!
