Orange Prize Longlist Announced

Two Canadian writers are on the longlist for the Orange Prize, a prestigous literary prize celebrating fiction writing by woman.  Kathleen Winter's acclaimed novel Annabel tells the story of an intersex child growing up in Labrador in the 1970s.  Emma Donoghue's Room, recently awarded the Commonwealth Writer's Prize (Caribbean and Canada) is also nominated.

The shortlist will be announced on April 12 and the winner will be presented on June 8.
