Warwick Prize Winner Announced

Dazzled and Deceived: Mimicry and Camouflage, Peter Forbes book about the uses of camouflage in science, art and warfare has won'the 2011 Warwick Prize for Writing.  Books in any discipline are eligible for the prize, this year based on the theme of colour.  Forbes' Dazzled book examines the uses of deception in the natural world and explores the impact these techniques have had on human life.

Initially trained as a chemist, Forbes worked in the pharmaceutical industry before becoming editor of the Poetry Review in 1986.  He is also the author of The Gecko's Foot, a book about the influence of nature on technology.
