Lauren B. Davis will be visiting North York Central Library on Wednesday, May 29 at 7pm. Part of The eh List Author Series, Ms. Davis will be disussing her latest work, The Empty Room, a novel inspired by the author's own battle with alcoholism. The Empty Room is also available as an eBook.

Ms. Davis was born in Montreal and first wrote what she describes as "exceedingly bad" poetry. After moving to France with her husband in 1994, she began to concentrate seriously on her writing and has since published two collections of short stories and three novels.

In 2012, her novel Our Daily Bread was longlisted for the Giller Prize.
