What The Doctor Ordered: Books for Doctor Who’s 50th Anniversary
Doctor Who broadcast its first episode on November 23, 1963.
I love the Doctor, although I didn't catch on until the series reboot in 2005. It won me over with episodes featuring Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, and Agatha Christie. I became a fan for life when I saw The Fires of Pompeii, an episode that brought to life characters from the Cambridge Latin Course, confirming that I am not the only poor soul haunted by Latin studies.
In its 50 years, the show has inspired numerous books both fiction and non-fiction.

Libraries are a great resource. As the Tenth Doctor once said:
You want weapons? We're in a library! Books! The best weapons in the world! This room's the greatest arsenal we could have – arm yourselves!

Come to see our Doctor Who display in the lobby of The Merril Collection of Science Fiction at 239 College Street, in the Lillian H. Smith Building, 3rd Floor. On Display until January 2014.
Doctor Who crosses paths with Captain Jean-Luc Picard (greatest Star Trek captain EVER, in my humble opinion) and the crew of the USS Enterprise? And the fate of the galaxy hangs in the balance? Put the kettle on for some Earl grey tea and count me in!
Hi, Maureen
I was alerted to the existence of that one by a commenter named John.
Thank you, John, wherever you are.
