Actors Who Write Fiction
It's not uncommon for celebrities to write books, especially autobiographies. Instead of the usual (presumably ghostwritten) memoir, some actors have actually branched out to write fiction.

It’s really sad how practically all of them are male 🙁
Thanks, Melanie.
I’m kind of interested to read the new book by retired NBA star and sometime actor Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Mycroft Holmes. It’s had some great reviews.
Oh wow, I had no idea some of these actors wrote fiction! Thank you for this post! When I saw Steve Martin’s name on those books I somehow always thought it was his namesake for some reason. Good to know!
A couple off the top of my head: Emma Thompson has written some Peter Rabbit books, starting with The Further Tale of Peter Rabbit, and Marlee Matlin has written the Deaf Child Crossing series of 3 children’s novels! Carrie Fisher’s Postcards From the Edge and sequel The Best Awful are adult fiction, and Molly Ringwald wrote When it Happens to You, stories of love and betrayal.
I really enjoyed Hugh Laurie(House MD, Jeeves and Wooster)’s The Gun Seller http://www.torontopubliclibrary.ca/detail.jsp?Entt=RDM419170&R=419170 when I read it some years ago also.
A snapshot at a particular time of actors who write. At another particular time, the mix would be different. It’s more sad that so many of them have bad hair.
