The Hilary Weston Writers' Trust Prize for Nonfiction finalists were announced on September 28. The award celebrates literary nonfiction books by Canadian writers.

This year, five books have been nominated:

The author of the winning book will receive $60,000. Each of the finalists takes home $5,000.

The winner will be announced on November 2, 2016.
