Pi Day is observed each year on March 14 (3.14). It has become traditional to eat pie as part of the celebration. I am fond of pie. Except pumpkin. Who came up with that nonsense?
These books will help you find the perfect pie for your own Pi Day bash.

Pumpkin Pie is delicious!
Perhaps you have not had proper pumpkin pie.
Pumpkin pie goes fantastic with a dollop of whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla icecream!
Thank you for your Pi Day blog, Margaret. My favourite recipe for pumpkin pie, “Fluffy Pumpkin Pie,” comes from “Food That Really Schmecks” by Canada’s own Edna Staebler. Her recipe calls for separating the eggs, beating the egg whites and then folding them into the pumpkin mixture before baking – it makes all the difference!

I remain unconvinced. For me pumpkin pie is at its most edible eaten with maple syrup but I can still pass it up.
Just think–more pie for you!
Cute blog post! Happy Pi Day!
