Tom Barren lives in an idyllic, techno-utopian world but he’s always felt like an outsider. After he splits up with his girlfriend he decides to use a time machine to repair their relationship. Unfortunately something goes wrong and he finds himself stranded in a different world—one that looks a lot like ours. It’s messy and complicated and definitely not utopia. It seems like a savage hellscape to Tom but it isn’t all bad–he may have found his soul mate. Now Tom has a decision to make. Does he try to put things back to “normal” and risk losing everything he’s found or does he learn to live in this version of 2016?
