What Seniors Can Do to Protect Their Money
June is Seniors Month! Many branches of Toronto Public Library are offering special programs aimed to seniors. On Thursday, June 24, from 2-4 pm, a representative from the Investor Education Fund, a non-profit organization established by the Ontario Securities Commission, will discuss how seniors can protect themselves from investment scams and frauds. Topics include: examples of common investment frauds and scams, warning signs and information about what seniors can do to avoid becoming victims.
