Listen to Audiobooks the Easy Way, with Playaways!
Digital audiobooks are the fastest-growing format in the world of books. It's not hard to see why – you can listen to them while you're commuting, exercising, doing housework, or going to sleep. Even if you have a hard time reading print or holding a physical book, you can still listen to audiobooks.
But not everybody has a device they can use to download audiobooks. And not everyone has the technical knowhow to manage apps and downloads.

Do Playaways work with a Bluetooth speaker?

Thanks for the question! Playaways don’t pair with Bluetooth devices. But if your Bluetooth speaker has an auxiliary Audio In port, you can plug the Playaway into it using a cable with two 3.5 mm audio jacks (the size most headphones have).
Hello. I usually use overdrive to listen to audio books from top. How does this work as I don’t own a cassette player but I have a labtop can it be plugged into one of the ports

That’s the nice thing about Playaways – all you need is a battery and headphones.
You don’t need to plug it into anything else – you don’t need a laptop, or even a wifi connection.
There’s a button on the back of the Playaway – you just hit that, and it plays.

These look cute. Those two-way Auxiliary cables are very handy for plugging phones, players or just about any digital sound source into a good living room or PC speaker systems. A throwaway tip, the PC OverDrive software provides for transferring whole MP3 books to little players or other devices and (don’t tell anybody) the transfers never expire.
Can you set a Playaway to turn off automatically after a certain amount of time?
