Photography on Twitter
I created a Twitter account a couple
of years ago for the reason to be able to show customers how it works and troubleshoot
any issues that can arise. Until recently
I left my account alone and did nothing with it. It just sat there collecting dust. Going into 2013 I decide to be more active on
Twitter and check out a lot of the great content online.
For the most part, I generally like to
keep up to date with the latest news, technology developments, pop culture,
sports and most importantly photography.
When big news arises I can be one of the first to know, or to let it be
known. I also enjoy sharing and being
part of the conversation while watching big events like the Super Bowl, Oscars
or the Leafs losing a playoff game in horrible fashion. Another reason I am on Twitter is to get
inspired. I personally love to follow
some great artists and photographers and see parts of the world that I can only
dream of visiting one day.
The first account I follow regularly is @Fascinatingpics. They posts hundreds of great photos a week that
showcase beautiful exotic locations, cute and cuddly animals to inspirational photos
that will move you.
Another favourite account I recently just followed
is @AbandonedPics. The shots
showcase a whole other type of photography.
Ever want to see what an abandoned factory looks like or a ship in water
for 50 years. The photographs are more
on the darker side, but truly magnificent to look at.
It’s also amazing to be able to follow a single photographer
to see firsthand what they are up to. @bmoorevisuals
is Brad Moore, a former assistant to Photoshop guru Scott Kelby who has
branched out on his own and has become one of my favourite concert and event
photographer.
Twitter is another tool to promote your artwork and
photography to the world. Check some of
the accounts I mentioned and start posting some of your own.
Have fun!!

Awesome Pictures, maybe there is something to this Twitter stuff I best check out further .. thanks for hooking us up to these Twitter accounts to discover.
Is there any programs at the library offers to show the newbies in the Twitter game all the low down to get yourself started and the precautions in setting up and maintaining a Twitter account?
That would be Cool ..
