Share Your Ideas: New Fabrication Space at North York Central Library
Share your ideas for an exciting new fabrication space coming to the library in 2018!
As part of North York Central Library's renovations, the second floor will be dedicated to a creative learning space that will include a small-scale workshop offering equipment and training for digital fabrication.
Digital fabrication connects digital design with production which allows you to imagine something, draw it on a computer and create a physical object! Examples of fabrication equipment include laser and vinyl cutters, XY plotter and CNC machines. Examples of fabrication spaces in Toronto include HackLab, STEAMLabs and Ryerson University's Digital Fabrication Zone.
The library's space will have an arts focus and seeks to support the wonderful arts and creative communities within and beyond the North York Central Library area and complement the existing services provided by the library's Digital Innovation Hubs.
We are in the early stages of planning for this space and want your feedback! Please complete this survey by June 30 and let us know what you'd like to see in this new space!
