Overwhelmed

Do you find it difficult to get organized? Easily distracted? Overwhelmed? Restless?

Often people with ADD/ADHD are labeled as dreamers, underachievers, lazy or trouble-makers.

Adult ADHD always includes a childhood onset of the symptoms including inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity which have persisted into adulthood. As many as two thirds of children diagnosed with ADHD continue to experience symptoms into adulthood.

To learn more about ADHD including adult ADHD go to Mental Health Canada: ADHD or to MayoClinic.com: Adult ADHD (attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder).

The Canadian ADHD Resource Alliance provides more specific signs and symptoms for Adult ADHD including a list of "red flags".

The Centre for ADD/ADHD Advocacy, Canada maintains a list of Ontario ADHD Support Groups.
