Major Signs Your Body is Aging Prematurely
The human body is a very powerful thing. It can let us know what is going on on the inside simply by what we are seeing on the outside. Concerns about our eyes, hair, nails, and skin especially are important indicators something may be amiss on the inside, and we are aging at a faster rate than we should be.
One of the health blogs I follow is by Kimberly Snyder, New York Times bestselling author and nutritionist. I recently came across her blog entry "5 Signs Your Body Is Aging Too Fast" .
I thought I would share with you some of the key things to look out for to indicate that your body is aging faster than it should be according to your age. In other words, whether your "biological age" is higher than your "chronological age," according to Synder.
Signs to look out for:
- Red eyes
- Droopy eyelids/fatty deposits around eyes
- Wrinkles and sagging skin
- Changes in skin tone/texture
- If you always feel stressed out

- eat three or more servings of vegetables/day (green leafy-broccoli, kale, spinach, etc)
- see your dentist regularly
- lower high blood pressure and high cholesterol
- reduce fat in diet
- exercise (always important)
- don't smoke (or quit now)
- keep your mind active (learn new language, new hobby, volunteer, etc.)
- practice a healthy lifestyle early on
- limit alcohol consumption (especially important for older people)
- cut down on salty foods
- consume herbs and spices (turmeric)
- drink more tea (green, black)
