How to stay healthy while travelling….

Before embarking on your dream vacation, it's important to plan ahead. Planning time depends on your health status, your destination and duration of travel. Health Canada's Checklist  Well on Your Way – A Canadian's Guide to Healthy Travel Abroad is a good start. It discusses issues like immunizations, travel health insurance, pre-existing health conditions, prescription medications and special needs of seniors, children and pregnant women;  it also provides tips on how to avoid food and water-borne diseases, infections and accidents while abroad and what to do when something goes wrong including contact information of consular services for travellers.
