Index.aspxAre you feeling completely drained, stressed and exhausted at the end of each day?

Do you wish you could do something to feel more energized?

It never hurts for any of us to get some tips on what to do to feel better overall.

As we all know, exercise boosts our energy levels, but the question is how/why does this happen, and how to take advantage of this.

According to the Mayo Clinic, "Exercise and physical activity deliver oxygen and nutrients to your tissues and help your cardiovascular system work more efficiently."

Helpful tips from WebMD on how to exercise for energy include:

  • aim for a low to moderate training heart rate range
  • walking, yoga, pilates, Tai Chi, and resistance strength training when done slowly are good for calm energy (a combination of high physical and mental energy paired with low physical tension)
  • play music while working out to reduce tension for calm energy production
  • eat some fruit before you start your workout (gives your body energy to complete the workout)
  • drink lots of water before, during, and after a workout to decrease tiredness and prevent dehydration
  • even if you feel way too tired for a full workout..at least get up and walk around. The mitochondria in your cells will produce some energy for you.
