Overactive bladder anyone?
Are you suffering from a condition called Overactive Bladder?
If you are, you are not alone. Millions of women and men worldwide experience annoying symptoms like
-sudden urge to urinate that's hard to control
-need to urinate more than 8 times in 24 hours
-awaken several times during the night to urinate
In spite of being so prevalent, many suffer silently. Why? Most people afflicted with Overactive Bladder feel embarrassed and isolate themselves. Yet according to experts at the Mayo Clinic, "The good news is that a brief evaluation can determine whether there's a cause for your overactive bladder symptoms. Available treatments may greatly reduce or eliminate the symptoms and help you manage their effect on your daily life".
Is there anything YOU can do to help to treat and/or prevent Overactive Bladder? Strengthening the pelvic area with Kegel exercises is highly recommended… but as experts point out, these exercises only work if done correctly. They also caution that it is not an instant fix, you need to persevere and have patience.
