Thinking about making some New Year's resolutions? Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) may help you make the changes you want to make. Mayo Clinic defines CBT as a type of psychotherapy which "helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way."

CBT can be used to treat mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. Cognitive behavioural therapy can also be used to generally improve your life - for example, reduce stress and break bad habits.

The following are just a few of the many titles the library carries:

Everything guide to cognitive behavioral therapy CBT at work for dummies
Addiction recovery skills workbook
Cognitive behavioral therapy techniques for retraining your brain (DVD set)
