Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementias
The first time I ever heard about aging and 'losing words' was at a Sandra Shamas performance at the Toronto Reference Library. All the audience members around me were laughing and nodding in agreement and I thought, what the heck? Now that I am in that demographic and occasionally forgetting names of objects and people, I wonder if this is normal or the start of dementia. Toronto Public Library, in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Toronto, is offering free presentations on dementia at various branches this spring.
