What Turns Interviewers Off?
I read somewhere that the reason many people are not hired, even though they are technically qualified and perfectly good workers, is that the interview did not go well. Here are some of the things that turn interviewers off:
- Hedging your answers, especially when facts are available
- Embellishing your accomplishments, stretching the truth
- Weak handshake
- Lack of social skills
- Being overly interested in salaries or benefits
- No self-confidence
