Writing Is An Essential Communication Skill

Although it has been said that a picture is worth a thousand words, it is not a true substitute for writing, particularly good writing. Words and good writing matter because they are essential tools of communication. They convey information, express emotions, and can influence, and motivate. You can always improve on your writing skills, even if you are considered a good communicator. It is what I consider a work-in-progress.

The Toronto Public Library has a paid subscription to a business writing database entitled (appropriately) Business Writing.
