Recommended Websites for Your Job Hunt

Google is great but do you want sites recommended by librarians? Here's how you can check out our recommendations.

You can browse or search websites only from this section of Books, Video, Research & more.

You can also retrieve websites from a search of the Toronto Public Library site. See this search for job interviews. You can fine-tune your search by filtering the results by clicking on Recommended Websites on the bottom left. This will refresh your results, showing only the websites.

Or you can use some specific sites that are particularly useful from our gateway to job and career help.

A good starting place for job search information is the section on How to Search for Jobs on the Internet.

If you are looking for a good list of job posting sites, check out our recommendations.

We have general job posting websites – use the limiters on the left. I like the metasearch websites – ones that search other sites, including company career pages. And specialist sites – resources by industry and occupation.

If you know of a website, especially a Canadian site that we should include, please let us know so we can review it and add it to our database of sites.
