The behavior based interview

Interviewing for a job certainly isn't anyone's favorite thing to do.  But going into an interview well prepared can mean the difference between a positive experience and a soul crushing disaster.  There are many different types of interviews, but one that has become increasingly common is the behavior based interview.

What is this type of interview?  According to best-job-interview.com, "The Behavioral Interview is a proven and widely-used method of exploring a candidate's suitability for the position. It goes beyond just looking at the candidate's educational and work history to determine the right fit, asking the candidate for specific examples of past behavior as they relate to the job requirements. The behavioral interview is based on the logic that past behavior predicts future behavior."

So how does one prepare for such an interview?  Since you won't know the specific questions until you actually get into the interview, try and draw upon specific examples of times that you have had special situations  or projects that you have worked on and how you handled problems that might have come up.  Consider the situation, what action you performed and what the result was.
