Mark Swartz, best-selling author of Get Wired, You're Hired! and former Toronto Star Careers section columnist, offers plenty of practical advice on every aspect of career development. I found one of his articles to be particularly intriguing – in it he advocates taking the opportunity to list your strengths, areas for improvement and action plan for the next 12 months, even if your performance evaluation isn't scheduled on an annual basis.
