Looking For Job Postings?
Starting a job hunt can be stressful, to say the least! You have to think about formatting your resume, making sure you have the appropriate credentials, having the right clothes for an interview and then trying to figure out where to actually look for this dream job! With the emergence of online job-searching sites and more and more companies using the Internet to post job postings, it can all get a little bit overwhelming. Many people aren’t aware that the Toronto Public Library dedicates a small portion of their website to job postings! It takes quite a few clicks to get there, but lucky for you, I’m attaching a direct link here :).
Once you click on this link, you might think to yourself “What is this lady talking about? I don’t see any job postings!” Well, you’ll unfortunately have to work a little bit harder than that! What you’re looking at is essentially a one-stop shop of websites that will have direct job postings on them. As you scroll through the list, you’ll notice some of the popular sites such as Monster or Indeed, but the nice thing is that there will also be websites that you have never heard of! Ones that are catered towards different types of industries such as teachingjobs.com, retailjob.ca and overseasjobs.com, or different locations such as Saskatchewan jobs and the Toronto Job Centre, to name a few.

OSLT are free workplace communication classes offered in colleges available to Newcomers that also help with searching for jobs.
Students improve their workplace English skills while learning about Canadian workplace culture.
The courses are 180 hours and are offered part-time at colleges throughout Ontario.
To be eligible, participants must be Permanent Residents or Protected Persons, have prior work experience or training and have a CLB level 6 – 8.
