Word Out LogoSummer reading isn’t just for kids!

On June 24, the fifth Word Out: Teen Summer Reading was officially launched and will run until Labour Day.  Word Out, is funded by the TD Bank Group, and features events and workshops in Toronto Public Library branches over the
course of the summer.  Events include
writing workshops hosted by Mariko Tamaki and Karen Krossing, author visits by
Kelley Armstrong and Paul Yee and a zine Making Worskhop lead by the staff of
Broken Pencil magazine.

To participate, no registration is required.  Word Out is a read what you want
program.  Our goal is to keep teens
reading and interested.  There are
various weekly contests for teens to participate in, as well as, five main
contests that are staggered throughout the summer.  Up for grabs as prizes for the five main
contests are iPad minis!

Teens can access Word Out through the Word Out website, Facebook page, and also the TPL Teens website.

Don’t miss out and don’t read alone!
