It’s back in Toronto! Toronto Public Library is once again hosting Book Bash, the Canadian Children's Literature Festival. The celebration will take place on Saturday, April 26 at Northern District Branch from 12 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Families are encouraged to celebrate with some of Canada’s most renowned children’s authours, illustrators, storytellers and musicians.

In attendance this year includes authours Matt Beam, Helaine Becker, Marie-Louise Gay, Kyo Maclear, Evan Munday, Liam O’Donnell and J. Torres, TD Summer Reading Club 2014 illustrator John Martz, puppeteers from Applefun Puppetry and musicians from Samba Squad. New this year, young innovators can participate in a special “Book Hacking” craft with MakerKids.

The annual Canadian Children’s Literacy Festival promotes reading and recognizes Canada’s talented writers and illustrators of children’s books. The festival is made possible by the Muller Scholastic Endowment Fund for Canadian Children’s Literature at the Toronto Public Library Foundation. The Toronto Public Library and Toronto Public Library Foundation are proud to bring this festival to the city.
