StoryMobs at our Locke branch
School’s out, which means summertime fun begins! To get the fun started, library branches across Canada kicked off the TD Summer Reading Club with StoryMobs this past Saturday. Storymobs based on Nicholas Oldland’s ‘The Busy Beaver’ were carried out in both French and English at 13 locations: 4 locations in Toronto and 9 more in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland & Labrador.

StoryMobs were at a hit at our Beaches, Brentwood, Lillian H. Smith and Locke branches among paren'ts and kids.  Kids had the opportunity to engage with books and stories in a new and exciting way.  There are lots more exciting events and programs planned for kids this summer as part of the TD Summer Reading Club at your local library branch.

The TD Summer Reading Club is a fun summer club for children of all ages that engages them in the joy of reading through various activities. All children who register receive exciting fun and engaging reading kit that includes a Maker notebook, Club magazine or activity book and stickers that they earn for each book they read throughout the summer. Children can also explore the website, browse librarian-selected booklists, participate in programs and speak with our experienced staff who can help them have fun reading all summer. The Club runs at all Toronto Public Library branches across the city, and libraries across Canada offer the program in their communities.
