St. Patrick’s Day at the Library

As a kid I used to find many of the symbols paired with St. Patrick's Day intriguing – discovering gold at the end of a rainbow, finding a lucky four-leafed clover or sighting and outsmarting a leprechaun to find out where he stashed his treasure.

Join in the festivities today at one of the St. Patrick's Day programs happening at the library this afternoon for kids, or drop by your local branch and borrow one of these books about rainbows and leprechauns:

Magic School Bus Makes a Rainbow Elmer and the Rainbow  Rainbows
Leprechaun in Late Winter The Leprechaun Under the Bed Traveling Tom and the Leprechaun

Looking for something St. Patrick's Day-related to watch with the kids? How about one of these DVDs?

Sesame Street - Elmo's Rainbow Sid the Science Kid - What is a Rainbow Dora the Explorer - Shy Rainbow

If you're staying at home today, you could help your kids craft a pair of these stylish Leprechaun Binoculars, look for leprechauns, and see if you have the "luck of the Irish!"
