In my last post I told you about our Family Literacy Bingo contest which invites families to complete a set of activities for a chance to win a great prize. If you and your children are up for an extra challenge and an extra opportunity to win a prize, read on.

Prize

You are eligible to win the following prize by entering our Twitter contest.

  • One Family Fun board games and books prize pack that includes two board games and two books.

How to enter

Be sure to follow us on Twitter and watch for our tweets about the contest. We want to see your family celebrating literacy together. 1. If I go to download the Bingo card, I note that the rules are different than the “Growing a Reader” Kids Books, Tips & more” page rules – this page states that the contest is open to contestants 18 and older but the bingo card page says 13 and younger; also, the deadlines are different. Confused about which set of rules are valid.

  2. Hi Ellen,
Thanks for your question & sorry for the confusion. There are two separate contests going, both using the Bingo card. As the Twitter contest is conducted online, entrants must be 18 or older. So the Tweeted photo of the family should come from a paren’t’s or caregiver’s Twitter account. The time frame for the Twitter contest online is shorter – it closes 11:59 pm on January 31.
You can use the same Bingo card to enter the contest at your branch. In that case, you’ll have to complete every single challenge. You have until February 13 to finish the challenges and submit the bingo card to your branch. The in-branch contest is for those 13 years & younger (but the whole family can complete the challenges together).
    I hope this helps?
