Dr Seuss' environmentally conscious The Lorax turns 45 this year. If you were to ask people to name a children's book with an environmental theme, it is among the first works that would come to mind for most of us. Who can forget the emptiness you felt inside as the Lorax sadly rose away from the treeless devastation wrought by the Once-ler? The cultural impact of this book is enormous. In addition to the book,it was followed the very next year by an animated TV special. More recently it was made into a feature film and it is also available as an e-book, an audiobook and an e-audiobook.
More recent works you might enjoy for Earth Month are also available in our collection in various formats.
