Rules for #TDSRC at TPL Social Media Contest
To celebrate the TD Summer Reading Club at Toronto Public Library, we’re giving away a special prize pack to four lucky children who attend a Club program, or report on a book at the library or online, and shares about it on social media.
Prize
Your child is eligible to win the following prize by entering our Get Your Summer Read On Day contest:
One (1) for four (4) TD Summer Reading Club prize packs.
How to enter
- On your Twitter, Facebook and/or Instagram, share a photo of your child attending a TD Summer Reading Club Program, or reporting on a book they’ve read at a Toronto Public Library branch or online.
- Include the hashtag #TDSRC in your photo caption.
- Tag the library in your caption – Twitter (@torontolibrary), Instagram (@torontolibrary), Facebook (@torontopubliclibrary), depending on where you post your photo entry.
- Follow the library – Twitter (@torontolibrary), Instagram (@torontolibrary), Facebook (@torontopubliclibrary), depending on where you post your photo entry.
Contest Rules and Regulations
Eligibility:
The contest is open to all residents of Toronto age 18 years and older, except Toronto Public Library Board members, officers and employees of the Toronto Public Library and members of those individuals’ families and their cohabitants.
Upon completion of posting, eligible customers will be entered for a chance to win the prize listed above.
Limit of one entry per individual, per social media platform (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram), per day.
Entering the contest signifies your acceptance of these rules.
Entry Period:
Entries will be accepted beginning at 12:00 am EST on July 9, 2017, until 11:59 pm EST on September 2, 2017.
The contest periods are:
July 9 – July 22
July 23 – August 5
August 6 – August 19
August 20 – September 2
One winner will be contacted after each contest period has ended. Only entries received within a particular entry period are eligible to win that period’s prize.
Prize:
Winners will receive the prize noted above. The prize must be accepted as awarded. No cash alternatives, substitution or transfers of the prize will be allowed.
Winners will be chosen by random draw from among all eligible entries received.
Odds of winning depend on the number of qualified entries received.
The prize winner will be contacted via direct message. Winners agree that Toronto Public Library may use their names or likeness for advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation (except where prohibited).
Judges’ decisions are final and the Toronto Public Library is under no obligation to enter into communication with entrants who do not win prizes.
Prize must be picked up at the Toronto Public Library branch most convenient for the winner. Toronto Public Library is not responsible for any damages, taxes or expenses that the winners might incur as a result of this contest or receipt of prizes.
Privacy and Personal Information:
Each entrant will be required to provide Toronto Public Library with his/her name, library card number and telephone or email address for the sole purpose of prize administration.
General Rules
The Toronto Public Library is not responsible for computer system, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, or delayed computer transactions or network connections that affect the prize draw or your participation in it. Furthermore, the Toronto Public Library is not responsible for:
– lost, misdirected, misplaced, illegible, unintelligible, incomplete or late entries
– any act, failure to act, or delay regarding the transmitting or processing of entries
You acknowledge that Toronto Public Library reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or suspend all or any portion of this prize draw without notice for any reason whatsoever, without any liability to you for any costs you may have incurred in respect to the prize draw.
Toronto Public Library is entitled to interpret these rules as required and its decision is final.
This prize draw is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. These incentive prize rules are subject to change without notice in order to comply with any applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws or the policy of any other entity having jurisdiction over the prize draw.
Any and all disputes arising from the prize draw will be resolved in the courts of the Province of Ontario and are subject to the laws of that Province.
Personal information on this survey is collected under the authority of sections 20(a) and (d) of the Public Libraries Act, R.S.O. 1990, C.P.44, and will be used to administer the contest.
