Can You Tell Me How to Get to Sesame Street?
November 10th marks the 48th anniversary of Sesame Street's debut on public television. Created in 1969 to add educational value to children's television programming, Sesame Street continues to inspire and delight young viewers around the world.
Over the years, the show has taught preschoolers some very important lessons. Besides its central focus on the development of a child's early literacy and numeracy skills, Sesame Street has focused on other pertinent issues like sharing, temper tantrums, healthy habits and so much more. More recently, the show has evolved, tackling issues such as money and finance, autism and divorce.
Not surprisingly, there are plenty of benefits for fans of the show. According to a recent study, watching Sesame Street has a positive impact on a child's academic success.
