Book Bundles for Kids
Book bundles are groupings of titles on a particular topic or theme, bound together by ribbon or elastics. You can find these fun packs of staff recommendations on display now at Agincourt and Runnymede branches.
Why bundles?
Bundles cut down on browsing when you haven’t got the extra time to peruse.
They group titles together by fun themes and ideas.
Bundles contain quality staff picks that are packaged and ready to take home.
They often blend genres and may expand your selections.
Calgary Public Library and other libraries are also fans of book bundling. We see the appeal. Bundles highlight read-alikes for a child's favourite books, but can also expose readers to entirely new subjects.

Here are a few bundles that we loved making. What topics would you want to pick up?
Life on Mars:
Welcome to Mars: Making a Home on the Red Planet by Buzz Aldrin.
You are the First Kid on Mars by Patrick O'Brien.
Mars: You Decide How to Survive by Hena Khan.
Fin-tastic Tales:
Shark Lady: The True Story of How Eugenie Clark Became the Ocean's Most Fearless Scientist by Jess Keating.
Nugget & Fang: Friends Forever or Snack Time? by Tammi Sauer and Michael Slack.
Peanut Butter and Jelly by Ben Clanton.
Poo!
What Do They Do With All That Poo? by Jane Kurtz.
The Dinosaur That Pooped the Bed by Tom Fletcher & Dougie Poynter.
Whose Poop is That? by Darrin Lunde.
For Fans of Dog Man:
The Bad Guys series by Aaron Blabey.
Hilda and the Troll series by Luke Pearson.
Haggis and Tank series by Jessica Young.

Thanks for your comment, Claire. The best part is thinking up quirky categories.
